Termite Inspections & Pest Solutions
Know exactly what you're dealing with. Our certified termite inspectors deliver comprehensive written reports โ for property transactions, insurance requirements, peace of mind, or post-treatment confirmation.
A Termite Inspection Could Save You Hundreds of Thousands
Termites are expert at concealment. A property can host an active termite colony for years โ sometimes decades โ with no visible external signs. By the time cracks in skirtings, hollow-sounding floors, or mud tubes become obvious, the structural damage may already be severe and extremely costly to repair.
A professional termite inspection by a certified inspector is the only reliable way to confirm whether termite activity is present, where it is occurring, how extensive it is, and what treatment is required. No moisture meter reading, visual scan, or online checklist can replace a trained inspector on-site.
What Our Inspection Report Includes
Did you know? Most South African home insurance policies do not cover termite damage. An annual inspection is the only way to catch activity before structural damage becomes irreversible.
Which Inspection Do You Need?
We offer several types of termite inspection depending on your situation. Not sure which is right for you? Call us and we'll advise.
What Happens During a Termite Inspection
Our inspections are thorough, non-invasive, and typically take 60โ90 minutes for an average residential property. Here's what to expect.
We inspect the full external perimeter of the building โ looking for mud tubes on foundations, moisture damage, wood-soil contact, and vegetation that could provide access for termites.
Where accessible, we enter the sub-floor or inspect beneath the slab at expansion joints. This is where subterranean termite activity most commonly begins.
We inspect all internal rooms โ skirting boards, door frames, window frames, built-in cupboards, and timber flooring โ using a probe and moisture meter to detect hollow wood and elevated moisture.
Where safe and accessible, we enter the roof void to inspect roof trusses, top plates, and any stored timber or cardboard (common termite food sources).
We provide a written inspection report with photographs, findings, and treatment recommendations before we leave. You'll have everything in writing on the day.
Tools Our Inspectors Use
Detects elevated moisture levels in walls and timber โ a key indicator of subterranean termite activity and entry points.
Used to tap timber surfaces and detect the hollow sound of termite-damaged wood beneath an apparently intact surface.
High-powered inspection lighting for sub-floors, roof voids, and dark wall cavities where termites establish their mud tube networks.
All findings are photographed for inclusion in the written report โ providing a clear visual record of exactly what was found and where.
Our Full Termite Pest Solutions
If termite activity is found during your inspection, we'll recommend and quote for the most appropriate treatment. Here's a summary of our full solution range.
Soil Chemical Barrier
A chemical barrier applied to the soil around and beneath your property โ the most widely used and long-lasting termite prevention system in South Africa.
Baiting System
Bait stations installed around the perimeter. Worker termites carry the bait back to the colony, eliminating the entire population including the queen over 4โ12 weeks.
Wood Treatment
Boron-based or professional insecticide solutions injected directly into affected timber โ killing active termites and protecting wood from future attack.
Pre-Construction
NHBRC-compliant soil poisoning applied during the build โ the most cost-effective long-term protection for new structures in termite-active areas.
Commercial Programme
Integrated termite management for commercial properties โ fully documented, HACCP-compliant, with flexible scheduling and multi-site programme options.
Annual Inspections
Scheduled annual inspections to maintain warranty validity, monitor for new activity, and keep your property protected year after year.
